Aerflow Operational Disclaimer
1. Informational Use Only
Aerflow is a personal informational tool. It is not an Electronic Flight Bag (EFB), dispatch release system, crew scheduling system, or certified aviation product. Nothing in Aerflow constitutes operational approval, dispatch authorization, or regulatory guidance.
2. Do Not Use as an Approved or Sole Source
Do not use Aerflow as an approved or sole source for:
- Preflight planning or operational release
- Dispatch or go/no-go decisions
- Crew scheduling, legality, or trip trade decisions
- Regulatory compliance, including FAR duty limits and rest requirements
- Proving aeronautical experience without independently verifying the records
- Weather decision-making, turbulence avoidance, or runway selection
Always use your operator’s approved manuals, dispatch systems, and weather products for operational decisions.
3. Weather and Third-Party Data
Weather, flight status, and prediction data shown in Aerflow may be delayed, incomplete, or incorrect. Public and third-party sources can change without notice. Verify all critical information through operator-approved products before acting on it.
4. Independence
Aerflow is developed independently and is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by any airline, union, crew scheduling provider, data vendor (including FlightAware), aviation organization, or government agency, including the FAA, NTSB, or NWS.
5. Live Activities and Real-Time Displays
Lock Screen, Dynamic Island, and crew-watch Live Activities show informational flight status and countdowns. They are not real-time operational displays. Status, gates, and ETAs may lag — especially when the app is in the background and updates arrive via push from Aerflow servers. Countdown timers are estimates and must not be used for operational timing decisions.
6. Estimates and Analytics Features
The following features are informational estimates only and must not be used for operational, regulatory, or dispatch decisions:
- Flight duty period (FDP) estimates shown in Settings
- Turbulence insights and route weather overlays (including Pro and crew-sponsored turbulence displays)
- Pilot Stats summaries (nights away, duty estimates, and similar lifestyle metrics)
- Expected runway suggestions based on METAR winds and airport runway data
These features may use incomplete data, simplified assumptions, or third-party sources. They do not reflect your operator’s approved limits, union agreements, or dispatch releases.
7. Logbook and Aeronautical Experience
Aerflow may display, import, calculate, and export flight records, including out/in or block times, night estimates, PIC/SIC classifications, and lifetime or period totals. These features are personal recordkeeping and calculation tools.
You remain solely responsible for the completeness and accuracy of your logbook and for complying with 14 CFR 61.51 and any other applicable recordkeeping rules. You are solely responsible for determining whether a flight may legally be logged, and in which categories; for verifying actual out, off, on, and in times against 14 CFR 1.1 flight time and your own operational records; and for reviewing and correcting imported or generated data before you rely on it.
Some values are imported from files you provide. Some are derived from third-party operational data (including FlightAware). Some, including night time, may be estimated. Third-party data can be delayed, incomplete, or wrong. Aerflow does not independently verify that any displayed time is legally loggable.
Aerflow does not certify, validate, endorse, or guarantee your flight time or aeronautical experience. Aerflow is not an FAA-approved recordkeeping authority, is not a substitute for your legal recordkeeping obligations, and has not been approved or accepted by the FAA as an electronic recordkeeping system. Nothing in Aerflow is an FAA finding that your records are accurate or that they satisfy any certificate, rating, recency, employment, or insurance requirement.
Do not rely on Aerflow as the sole source for proving aeronautical experience. If you use Aerflow records for an application, interview, checkride, insurance claim, or FAA/NTSB inspection, you are representing your records, not a certification by Aerflow. You should keep independent backups. If you become aware of an error or omission, you are responsible for correcting it.
